Charlotte Smith

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Jerry Leggett will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Jason Arrington, Eric Arrington, B.T. Logan, Dale Burton, Don Wilson and Billy Reese.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Second Baptist Church, 831 North Everett Blvd., Union City, TN 38261.
Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Union City, daughter of the late Lon Givens and Ruth (Rose) Logan. She married Thelbert K “Cotton” Smith July 3, 1940. He died Dec. 4, 1994. She retired from the former Brown Shoe Company after 40 years of service and was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thelbert K. Smith Jr. and Mamie Smith of Union City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Elaine Smith of Union City, Penny and Dale Burton of South Fulton and Don and Karin Wilson of Orange Park, Fla.; two brothers and her sister-in-law, Billy Logan of Union City and Joe and Brenda Logan of Bartlett; four great-grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew Wilson of Orange Park, Courtney and Jamie Whybrew of Union City and Ashleigh Burton and Hunter Burton, both of South Fulton; two great-great-grandchildren, Jace Whybrew and Paizlee Whybrew, both of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Dwight L. Smith; and her sister, Ruthene Arrington.
