Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at East View Cemetery in Union City, with the Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from noon until time to go to the cemetery Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
She was born April 14, 1955, in St. Louis, daughter of the late John Sharp Barnes and the late Helen Rovene (McCollum) Bougher. She had been employed by American Greeting Co. in Osceola, Ark., and was a member of Dyess (Ark.) Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Morris of Mayfield; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles Edward Shempert Jr. and Jennifer of Fulton; five grandchildren, John Mark Morris of Newbern, Sonja Leann Harrison and Kailey Nicole Shempert, both of South Fulton, and Charles Edward Shempert III and Charles Anthony Shempert, both of Fulton; and two great-grandchildren, Kylee Ann Harrison of Cayce, Ky., and Kaelyn Elise Hill of South Fulton.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, John Kaiden Nightingale; two brothers, John Dewayne Barnes and Donald Dwight Baugher; and her sister, Donna Marie Seltzer.
