Martha Reese

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Dr. Cecil Sewell will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Kimball, Dr. Howard Ragsdale, Gary Houston, Larry Vernon, Mark Ward, David Johnson, Ray Burden, Jim Glasgow, Jim Flood, Snooks Guess, Frank Johnson, Terry Petty, Dr. Ed Reese, Dr. Jim Batey, Johnnie Wall, Ralph Adams and Red Reese. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the JOY Sunday School Class at Union City First Baptist Church.
The family requests that memorials be made to Union City First Baptist Church.
She was born April 1, 1917, in Union City, daughter of the late C.O. and Gertrude (White) Rawls. She married Marshall Reese Dec. 22, 1935. He died April 15, 1999. She was a member of Union City First Baptist Church and the JOY Sunday School Class and the 39ers. She was also a member of the former Matinee Music Club.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Dorothy Ann and Dr. Roy Winston of Reelfoot Lake; two sons and her daughter-in-law, Billy Marshall and Phyllis Reese and Eddie Kent Reese, all of Union City; two grandchildren and their spouses, Tracy S. and Alicia Reese of Fayetteville, Ark., and Tiffany C. and Jason Riley of Union City; and four great-grandchildren, Halle Katelyn Riley and Hayes Riley, both of Union City, and Macy Reese and Wesley White, both of Fayetteville.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Rheu Payne Jessup, Erma Wayne Walker and Annie Neal Bolding; and her brother, Thomas Rawls.
