Bob Mickens

Cremation services are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern at a later date.
He was born Sunday, Aug. 1, 1937, son of the late Rufas and Alice (Caldwell) Mickens. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City and was a retired engineer from the former Superior Fire Place in Union City. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Sims) Mickens of Union City; four sons, Michael Mickens of Shreveport, La., Steven Mickens of Springhill, La., and Robbie Mickens and Patrick Mickens, both of Malvern, Ark.; three daughters, Vickie Stephens of Taylor, Ark., Christine Gunn of Shreveport and Jenie Osteen of Magnolia, Texas; two brothers, Richard Mickens and Johnny Mickens, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; his sister, Barbara Rucker of Hot Springs; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Garner.
