Jean Kelley
Funeral services for Mrs. Kelley will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons in Jackson, with interment to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Malesus.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-5 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.
She was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Etowah County, Alab., to the late James and Vannie (Curry) Dennis. She was a production worker for Gold Kist for over 20 years and, prior to that, worked on the family farm.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Earnest Kelley; her son, Larry Kelley; two sisters, Jeanette Waldon and Polly Placock; three brothers, Otis Dennis, Wallace Dennis and J.B. Dennis; and her daughter-in-law, Janey Kelley.
She is survived by two sons and her daughter-in-law, Jimmy Kelley of Locust Fork, Ala., and Greg and Vicky Kelley of Medon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Donnie Carroll and Phyllis and Steve Farmer, all of Union City; her sister, Ann Whitfield; two brothers, Thurman Dennis and Bobby Dennis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
