Guy Gray

Guy Hugh Gray, 88, of Union City died Aug. 26, 2015, at his residence.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Jeff Bell and Daniel Hamm officiating.
Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Gray, Matthew Gray, Josh Gray, Josh Jones, Nathan Lynn and Joe Lynn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Isbell, Barney Hoefer and Hugh Adams.
The family requests memorials be made to the donor’s choice.
He was born May 31, 1927, in Obion County, son of the late Commodore and Jo (Walker) Gray. He married Jane Hicks Jan. 29, 1949. She survives. He was a retired lifelong farmer; was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ, where he served five years as a deacon, 20 years as an elder and was a Sunday School teacher; was a former director of the Obion County Farm Bureau; and was an active sportsman.
He is also survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret and Chris Lynn of Lafayette, Colo., and Wanda Lynn of Nashville; a son and daughter-in-law, Guy Walker and Patty Gray of Union City; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Millie Gray; and a son-in-law, Trent Lynn.
