Lyndell ‘Hank’ Forrester

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Troy Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Johnny Welch officiating. The family will receive friends at the church 5-8 p.m. today. White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Cliffton Hamm, David Hamm, Andrew Zeller, Randy Wicker, Larry Farley, Alan Thompson II and Eric Brown.
He was born July 28, 1939, in Union City, son of the late Elgie White and Lola Mae (Bishop) Forrester. He married the former Polly Pat Smith June 22, 1968. She died Feb. 5, 2011.
He had retired from Southern Machine Repair and was a member of the former Bethlehem Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.
He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Dolly Forrester of Chicago, Bill and Barbara Smith of Burton, Mich., and Glennis and Lesia Smith of Lennon, Mich.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tammy and Alan Thompson of Troy, Bonnie and Waymon Hannaman of Fulton, Rhonda Williams of Chicago and Jeannie and Jerry Doughty of Dresden; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jamie Dale Forrester and David Lee Forrester; and two daughters, Brenda Smith and Bonnie Stewart.
