George E. Mosier
George Elton Mosier, 90, of Union City died July 21, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home chapel, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Cem-etery.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mosier’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
He was born July 10, 1925, in Louisiana, son of the late George Elton Mosier and Lema (Rone) Mosier Williams. He married Marjorie Manley Mosier on Dec. 15, 1946. She died Nov. 6, 1997. He then married the former Jane Cheatham on June 7, 2001. She survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, and was a member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., where he worked for 17 years, and also formerly worked at the Kroger grocery store in Union City for 25 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy Dodge of Arlington, Ky., and Mary and Gid Bransford of Navarre, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Annie Mosier of Rives and Bobby and Wanda Mosier of Union City; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Fowler of Union City.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jan Mosier; a son-in-law, Tommy Dodge; and a sister, Edith Fritz.
The family request memorials be made to the Beech Church Cemetery Association.
