Maxine James

Maxine (Glidewell) James, 83, of Union City died July 18, 2015, at the NHC Place in Franklin.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Young Cemetery near the Bold Springs community in Humphreys County.
The family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City from 5-8 tonight.
Pallbearers will be Tim Workman, Jamie Workman, Billy Workman, Jamie Noland and Will Noland.
She was born April 24, 1932, in the Mason Hall community, daughter of the late Roy and Virginia (Nicholls) Glidewell. She married Roy James in May 1963, and he survives.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cathy James and Leon Noland of Santa Fe, Tenn., and Connie James and her fiancé, David Prince, of Franklin; two stepgrandchildren and the spouse of one, Will Noland and Jamie and Natalie Noland, all of Franklin; and four stepgreat-granddaughters, Abbie Noland, Presley Noland, Brylie Noland and Elle Noland, all of Franklin.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lou Nell Gables, Sue Strickland and Thelma Mae Dotson; and a brother, Alton Glidewell.
