Leon Barber
Leon Barber, 79, of Henderson, formerly of Union City, died July 3, 2015, at his residence.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Billy Smith and Roy Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Brad Barber, Keith Douglas, Chad Hicks, Thomas Hicks, G.G. Hicks, Jason Hicks and Jeremy Hicks.
He was born Nov. 9, 1935, in Lake County, son of the late Herbert and Beatrice (Littlejohn) Barber. He married the former Patsy Hicks June 29, 1963. She survives. He was a retired service technician for Ameri Gas in Fulton, where he worked for 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Henderson Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon, church treasurer and Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Vicky Barber of Henderson; three granddaughters, Courtney Barber, Candice Barber and Micah Barber, all of Henderson; her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Betty Jo Barber of Union City; and 13 nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Lucille Barber.
