Betty Adams

Betty Fay (Curtis) Adams, 78, went to be with the Lord June 15, 2015, at 6 a.m. at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
She was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Dyersburg to the late Maurice Curtis and Evelyn (Anderson) Curtis. She was a very kind lady who had many talents, but was a career seamstress. She has been a resident of Union City for nearly 20 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Union City.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Daniel Aaron Reynolds of Martin, Christopher Gene Adams and Sam Edwards, both of Sharon, and Christy Danielle (Adams) Guy of Camden; and a great-granddaughter, Arly Ryan Adams of Martin. She also leaves many dear friends.
She was also proceeded in death by her brother, Ed “Sonny” Curtis; her son, Daniel “Danny” Gene Adams; and her daughter, Sherry Ann (Adams) Reynolds.
Mrs. Adams donated her body to science. A memorial service is planned for a later date and will be announced.
Special thanks to all caregivers who helped Betty through her long struggle with cancer.
