Tiny Ivey

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Hickman, with the Rev. Nancy Varden officiating. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ritual Detail.
Visitation was set for today at the church from 5-7 p.m. and on Tuesday from noon until service time at 2 p.m. Strong Funeral Home in Hickman is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hickman First United Methodist Church; or Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City.
She was a member of Hickman First United Methodist Church and was a retired manager for the former Goodyear Credit Union. Mrs. Ivey was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, serving as a patriotic instructor for the organization.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Queenie Purpuree; and her son, Jerald Crist.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby E. Ivey of Hickman; her son and his fiancée, Robert B. Ivey and Julie Glass of Texarkana, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Squizz Roberson of Hickman; her brother, Victor Purpuree of Grants Pass, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Amie Roberson of Union City, Lacy and Tyler Vowell of Mount Juliet, Dustin and Dixie Ivey and Kristen Ivey, all of Maumelle, Ark., Brett Ivey of North Richland Hills, Texas, Tyler Ivey of Linden, Texas, Christopher Crist, Jeremy Crist and Jennifer Scott, all of Kansas City, Mo., and Amanda and Jake Miller of Dayton, Ohio; and eight great-grandchildren.
