Memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cryer Funeral Home in Obion, with the Rev. Charles Southerland officiating. The disposition of ashes will take place at a later time.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 425 Woods Mill Road, Suite 110, Town & Country, MO 63107.
He was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Dyer County, son of the late John R. and Hazel (Wilson) Stafford. He was a truck driver for the former Reelfoot Packing Co. and was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Taylor )Stafford; his sons, David Stafford of Hickman, Ky.; two brothers, Johnny Stafford of Trimble and Paul Stafford of Hornbeak; and his sister, Dottie Murphy of Franklin.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph Wayne Stafford.
