Carlton Ray Farrar

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Kinsey officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born April 26, 1922, in Henry County, son of the late Bailas and Annie (Kemp) Farrar. He married the former Mary Frances Robinson June 21, 1947. She passed away May 10, 2007. He was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and had also been employed at the former Lear-Siegler for more than 20 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served in the Battle of the Bulge. A Baptist, he was a life member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 in Union City.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anna and Robert Coble of Union City; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four sons, Gail Farrar, Clifton Farrar, Harold Wayne Farrar and Charles Ray Farrar; three brothers; and his sister.
