Woman killed in motorcycle wreck

SHARON — A 44-year-old Sharon woman was killed Sunday night on Highway 89, two miles east of Sharon, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Jana L. Payne was driving a 1997 Honda Shadow motorcycle westbound on Highway 89 when she failed to make a right-hand curve and went into the eastbound lane, colliding with another motorcycle driven by Charles Rayburn, 68, of McKenzie. The report indicates Rayburn was near the shoulder of the eastbound lane.
Rayburn and his passenger, Sandra Rayburn, 65, also of McKenzie, were riding a 2002 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.  According to Trooper Chris Johnstone, both Charles and Sandra Rayburn were injured in the accident.
Johnstone stated all three people were wearing helmets in the accident.
