Men to host event
The men of Brown’s Chapel AME Church will be hosting a fun event that will include a cookout, games and fellowship for all beginning at noon Saturday at 801 East College St. in Union City.
The community is invited to attend.

VBS to begin
Children can jump into a Vacation Bible School experience as big as the Amazon rainforest at Liberty Baptist Church near Fulton, located on the corner of Middle Road and Highway 781 South. Each day, children will discover the One True God and be challenged to respond to Jesus as the Living Savior and Lord of all.
Starting June 19 and continuing through June 22 from 9-11:30 a.m. each day, VBS will have as its theme “Praise Him! Trust Him! Follow Him! The One True God!”

To host VBS
Vacation Bible School, featuring games, learning, snacks, fun and friends, will begin Monday and continue through June 21 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Lake Road Baptist Church on Old Lake Road near Union City. The community is invited to attend.

Gospel meeting set
Church of Christ-Troy Road near Obion will host a gospel meeting beginning Sunday, with services at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The meeting will continue at 7 p.m. through Wednesday. Kevin Smith of Elijah Church of Christ in Caulfield, Mo., will be speaking on the theme God Provides.
A meal will be served from 1-2:15 p.m. Sunday.
The community is invited to attend.
UMD planned
The 52nd annual United Men’s Day has been set for Sunday at Greater Victory Free Will Baptist Church on Todd Street in Union City at 3 p.m.
The Rev. James Jones of Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Woodland Mills will be the speaker. There will be good singing and good preaching, a spokesman said.
Men who would like to sing in the choir are reminded to be at the church by 2:30 p.m., a spokesman said.
Men in the community are invited to attend.
