Tyson Foods Inc. has announced its acquisition of Circle Foods LLC, a California-based Mexican food producer.
The acquisition is part of Tyson Foods’ goal to accelerate the strategic expansion of its value-added foods portfolio, according to a news release.
Circle Foods has been in business for 25 years and produces frozen and refrigerated handheld Mexican foods, uncooked tortillas and Indian flatbreads. The company is known for such branded products as NUEVO GRILLE® and TORTILLALAND® handheld Mexican products, TORTILLALAND® uncooked tortillas and ROTILAND® Indian flatbreads.
