On Wednesday, May 29, Joe and Grace Laws led us in singing “Wonderful Words of Life.” It was so good to have Bro. Kieth and Roxie here for a visit. Dennis Phillips led our Bible study from Proverbs 16. We ended our service with altar prayer for two members of our community who are quite ill.

Sunday morning, our Sunday school lesson was “God Begins the Story,” from Genesis 1:1-3:21, which taught how sin impacts our relationship with God.

We sang, “Happy Anniversary” to Billy and Mary Jordan and it is also Billy’s birthday this week.

It was good to have our visitors back today.

Our songs of praise were “Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine,” “It Is Well With My Soul,” and “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.”

We had reports on those who are sick.

Dana Stafford talked about our upcoming Vacation Bible School.

Bro. Prince’s message was from Luke 12:15, 22-23, 29-32, 34-36 and 40. He ended with the thought that if we’ve done as Christ has commanded us, then we’re a happy people.

Some of us enjoyed fellowshipping with those at New Salem Baptist Church’s homecoming service. The Father’s Four were their guest singers.

Following our evening song service, Bro. Prince’s text was from Isaiah 41:10 and Matthew 10:31-33. He talked about our four fears: death (Phil. 1:21), failure (Phil. 4:13), losing security (Phil. 4:19) and the future (Matthew 28:30, Hebrew 12:5-6).

Our service ended with altar prayer for special needs.
