Martin Fire Department spent more than an hour Saturday morning putting out a fire in an abandoned trailer in the former Campbell’s Trailer Park on Highland Street.
Martin Fire Chief Jamie Summers said 14 men and three apparatuses responded to the call at 9:56 a.m.
“The trailer, which was abandoned, is a total loss,” he said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Hope of Martin, a community organization, plans to ultimately build five duplexes on the property formerly known as Campbell Trailer Park on Highland Street. (Published in The Press on 6/4/2013) | | | | |
