A special reception was scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Reelfoot Lake State Park, where Alisha Weber will be formally introduced as the new park manager.
State Department of Environment and Conservation deputy commissioner Brock Hill will introduce Mrs. Weber, who previously worked as an interpretive specialist at Natchez Trace State Park.
The informal reception will be held at Reelfoot Lake’s Ellington Hall, inside the Reelfoot Lake Visitors Center off Highway 21. There will also be a presentation about plans for the park and a discussion with park leadership.
Mrs. Weber was officially appointed park manager in February. She replaced James Cox, who retired in November 2012 after 40 years with the Tennessee State Park system.
Mrs. Weber has more than 14 years with the Tennessee State Park system.
