Donald Dane Strange, 76, of Jackson, formerly of Union City, died May 26, 2013, at the home of his son in Jackson.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, with Tom McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home Friday from 1-2 p.m.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Faith Lutheran Church.
He was born June 12, 1936, in Whitesville, Ky., son of Opal Marguerite (Reynolds) Harmless of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Marvin Vernon Strange.
He married the former Jane Leekomsteller Oct. 30, 1959. She died April 18, 2009. He had worked in management for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for more than 40 years and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
He is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jeff Potter of Gadsden, Ala., and Lori and Tim Lyell of Bartlett; his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Terri Strange of Jackson; six grandchildren, Jeff Dane Potter of Chattanooga, Katie Potter of Nashville, Brandon Lyell and Brittany Lyell, both of Bartlett, and Lyndi Strange and Emily Strange, both of Jackson.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Strange.
