Kiwanis needs votes Posted: Friday, May 24, 2013 5:00 pm The Messenger, May 24, 2013 Kiwanis Park in downtown Union City is a popular attraction for daycares to bring children and for families to have picnics. The local Kiwanis Club is currently trying to win $25,000 to pay for new playground equipment at the park, but members need help from the community. President John Fry, who submitted the application, recently notified The Messenger that the Union City park has only around 130 votes and is not in the top 10 of the 142 contest entries. Only entries in the top 10 at the end of the public voting period on June 15 will be considered for the final round where judges will select the winner. Residents can visit http://promoshq.wildfireapp.com/website/6/contests/314999/voteable_entries/67114320 and vote for the project once every 24-hour period. |
