QUILT OF HOPE — Carolyn Grisham, a volunteer in the gift shop at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, stopped to admire the work and tenderly remember loved ones listed on the Hope Quilt which is displayed in the hospital. Each patch of the Hope Quilt features the name of someone who has fought cancer. The quilt squares were sold by the hospital’s Hometown Walk of Hope team as a fundraiser. The quilt will be displayed during the local Walk of Hope event on June 1 at War Memorial Stadium on the Union City High School campus. Events will get under way at 4 p.m. with opening ceremonies and will last through midnight. Published in The Messenger 5.24.13 , |
