Pleasant Hill Baptist Church news

Hope each one had a great week last week.

Our Sunday morning started with Mark Simpson teaching a wonderful Sunday school lesson. We were glad to have our two visitors in class.

Bro. Elwood and the musicians brought us great music. Bro. Elwood sang a solo titled, “Farther Than We Can Fall.”

Hulda Heslop, Rhonda Edge, Gauge Elhulu and I went to Palmersville Station House Restaurant for a delicious fish supper Friday night.

I was so sorry to hear of the death of a school friend, David Oliver, who I have known all my life. My sympathy goes out to Pat and family.

My great-grandson, Gauge, graduated from Martin Primary School Friday at Westview High School gym.

Graduates who were recognized and given gifts at church were Gauge Elhulu (Kindergarten); Emily Fowler, Mary Catherine Tucker, Mary Elizabeth Higgs, Bailey Maddox, Kourtney Lofaro, Zach Forsythe (8^th Grade); Audrey Waterfield, Alex Cooper, Brooke Boyd, Dillon King (Westview); and Amber Nanney and Jessica Berry (UTM). Congratulations to each of these students. The high school seniors were treated to a meal at the church.

My 50-year class reunion will be this weekend at David and Maggie Byars home. I am looking forward to seeing all my former classmates.

Birthdays for this week are Bailey Maddox and Sandra Boyd.
