On Wednesday, our Vacation Bible School committee met at 5:30 p.m.

In our Bible study hour, we sang, “There’s Something About that Name,” to start the service. Bro. Robert Baker led the service with scripture reading was from Judges 16:4-5, 23-30, 1 Timothy 2:1-14 and John 15:18. It was a good study.

Our Sunday school lesson was from Proverbs 36:1-35 titled, “Becoming a Person Others Need.” This lesson told us that we could have insights into character traits that not only benefit us but those around us.

Please keep those in your prayers that have lost loved ones and all of their families and friends.

Happy birthday to Chris Fulcher, Ted Cantrell, Stacie Booth and Linda Meeks. Happy anniversary to Mark and Dede McClure.

Our hymns for Sunday were, “He Leadeth Me,” “I’ll Fly Away,” “Just Over in the Gloryland” and “There’s Power in the Blood.” Our guest speaker was Dr. Bill Dodson. His sermon, “Sin Now, Pay Later,” was from Hebrews 12:1-7.

That evening, his message was titled “Is There a Heaven?” from Revelation 21. His four points were, Heaven is a real place, real people, real rejoicing, and we’ll walk with Jesus.
