Miss Carrington to wed Brown on June 29

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Madilyn Elizabeth Carrington and Justin Michael Brown, both of Union City, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Wade and Lisa Carrington of Union City. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Louise “Polly” Archie and the late Ed Archie of Union City, the late Mike Cochran of Rives and Jerry Carrington and the late Betty Carrington of Parsons.
She is a 2005 graduate of South Fulton High School and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. In 2011, she obtained a master of science degree in education theory and practice from Arkansas State University. While at UTM, she was an active member of Chi Omega fraternity. She is employed with the Obion County School System as a teacher at Ridgemont Elementary School.
The groom-elect is the son of Mike and Margaret Brown of Beatrice, Ala. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius S. Brown Jr. of Beatrice and Mary Frances Anderson and the late Ziba Anderson of Pine Apple, Ala.
He is a 1998 graduate of Monroe Academy in Monroeville, Ala., and attended Alabama Southern Community College in Monroeville. He earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture economics and business from Auburn University in Alabama. While at Auburn, he was an active member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He is employed with Crop Production Services as a crop consultant in Wynnburg.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. June 29 at First Baptist Church in Union City. Music will begin at 6.
A reception will follow at the home of the bride’s parents.
