Palmersville Baptist Church news Posted: Thursday, May 16, 2013 6:00 pm On Wednesday night, May 8, Joe and Grace Laws led us in singing, “I’ve Got Peace Like a River.” Following prayer request, we had our monthly business meeting. On Sunday, our Sunday school lesson was, “Building the Home I Need,” from Proverbs 31:10-31.With so many homes falling apart, people need help in making their homes what they really need and that is with Jesus. We sang, “Happy Birthday” to Elliott Stafford. Our songs of praise were, “Have Faith in God,” “Love Lifted Me” and “Precious Lord, Take My Hand.” Charlene Harris presented the ladies a gift for Mother’s Day from the church. Also presented were special gifts to the youngest mother, Dana Stafford; the one with the most children, Julie Baker with 5; and our oldest mother was Rosie Buttrey, a young 95. Bro. Wayne Perkins filled the pulpit this morning. His message was, “Biblical Model for a Mother,” from Matthew 15:21-28 and 1 Peter 3:3-4. We had a good service. We had no evening service. None
