Discovery Park of America will be offering airplane rides for $100 donations 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday during Airport Expo at Everett-Stewart Regional Airport.
Local pilot Mike Rinker will be piloting the historic World War II PT-17 Stearman, which will soon be moved to Discovery Park of America and placed on display there in the military gallery. Donations will go to enhance the military gallery at DPA, a spokesman said.
The ride will provide donors with the opportunity to see DPA and the work going on at the 50-acre multi-million dollar site in Union City from the air.
Donations will be considered tax deductible. Sign-up for the rides will be at the DPA booth at the airport Saturday.
