General Sessions
The following cases were disposed of May 6-10 in Obion County General Sessions Court by Judge Jimmy Smith, or fines paid before scheduled court appearances, and were recorded in the dockets in the office of Obion County Circuit Court Clerk Harry Johnson.
The cases listed exclude routine traffic violations, civil cases and cases that are dismissed, unless dismissal is contingent upon costs being paid or other conditions. All others are published, including judicial diversions and deferred cases, without exception.
• Eric S. Hinson — evading arrest, best interest plea.
• Bryan H. Blair — driving under the influence (fourth or subsequent), guilty of a lesser charge of driving under the influence (third offense).
• Mike Piatt — unlawful possession without a prescription, guilty of a lesser charge.
• William L. Thompson — theft of property ($500-$1,000)/facilitation, guilty of a lesser charge.
• Caleb D. Adams — two counts of aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, aggravated burglary/conspiracy and theft of property ($1,000-$10,000), bound over to the grand jury.
• Christopher J. Beeler — possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, driving while license suspended (second or subsequent), registration expired and financial responsibility law violation, bound over to the grand jury.
• Charles D. Belk — contraband in a penal facility, tampering with evidence, Schedule II drugs/cocaine, Schedule VI drugs/marijuana, theft of property ($500-$1,000) and possession of a weapon/convicted felony drug offense/facilitation, bound over to the grand jury.
• Michael Genes — Schedule VI drugs/marijuana, tampering with evidence and Schedule II drugs/cocaine, bound over to the grand jury.
• Steve Johnson — theft of property ($1,000-$10,000) and theft of merchandise/shoplifting, bound over to the grand jury.
• Heather Bateman — Schedule II drugs/meth, judicial diversion on an amended charge of simple possession/casual exchange; simple possession/casual exchange, guilty as charged.
• April R. Gabel — aggravated child abuse/neglect/endangerment (8 and under), judicial diversion.
• Joseph Darren Hauhe — simple possession/casual exchange, judicial diversion.
• Lawrence J. Britton — probation violation, deferred.
• Kimral Dickerson — public intoxication, deferred.
• Karissa A. Davis — theft (up to $500), guilty as charged.
• Kelley Michelle Eaves — child abuse/neglect/endangerment (8 years or less)/solicitation, guilty as charged on an amended charge of child abuse/neglect/endangerment.
• Tracy L. Franks — public intoxication, guilty as charged.
• Theresa L. Garrett — driving while license revoked (second or subsequent), guilty as charged.
• Lonie Jacobs — Schedule II drugs/meth, guilty as charged on an amended charge of simple possession/casual exchange.
• Thaddeus J. Johnson — simple possession/casual exchange (marijuana), guilty as charged.
• David H. Kay — driving under the influence (first offense), guilty as charged.
• Deana S. Mangold — theft (up to $500), guilty as charged.
• Dewitt Pierce — public intoxication, guilty as charged.
• Kevin Pollock — simple possession/casual exchange (marijuana)/attempt, guilty as charged.
• Denver N. Whitby — public intoxication, guilty as charged.
• Matthew N. Wright — driving while license revoked (second or subsequent), guilty as charged.
• Kenny L. Azbell — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• Carlos H. Garcia — driving without a license and financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic tickets paid in full.
• Stephanie R. Hensley — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
• James N. Prather — financial responsibility law violation, guilty/traffic ticket paid in full.
