Union City Elementary School’s PTO will be hosting Spring Block Party Friday from 5-8 p.m. on the school’s front lawn. Community leaders will be on hand with educational information for the youth and their parents. Inflatables will be available for the children for a $5 armband fee. Face painting, removable tattoos, a prize wheel and the school “jail” may be enjoyed for an additional cost.
Those attending can have supper at the concessions tent and follow-up with dessert from the bake sale in the school’s library.
Donations will be accepted as “votes” for a teacher (or principal) to get a “Pie in the Face.” A silent auction with more than $1,200 retail value of products and gift certificates donated by Union City businesses will also take place in the library.
Spirit wear will be available for purchase and the night will end with fireworks also sponsored, in part, by area businesses.
The community is invited to come and enjoy the festivities.
