Cecile Joyce Taylor, 77, of Murfreesboro went to be with her Heavenly Father May 10, 2013.
Visitation will be Thursday 10 a.m.-noon at Franklin Road Baptist Church, located at 3148 Franklin Road in Murfreesboro, with the funeral service at noon. The Rev. Mike Norris will officiate. A graveside service will follow at 2 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Bandana, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret (Hall) Warner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. William L. Taylor, and her brother, William Warner.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by five children and their spouses, Dawn Walker and Jann and Steven McDonald, all of Nashville, Susanne Taylor of Dickson, Michael and Vivian Taylor of Buford, Ga., and Stephen and Lis Taylor of Taiwan; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Linwood Bigg of Leslie, Mich.; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenard and Jeannie Warner of Ruskin, Fla.; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Warner of Jackson, Mich.
Mrs. Taylor was dedicated to a life of serving the Lord as a pastor’s wife for 43 years at various locations including Nashville; Union City; Ottumwa, Iowa; and Ruskin, Fla., along with numerous mission work stations in foreign countries. In her honor, Mrs. Taylor has a school named after her in India.
Memorials may be made to the printing ministry at Franklin Road Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Taylor.
