Billy Lee Atwill, 76, of Cayce, Ky., died May 10, 2013, at his home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with burial following in the Cayce (Ky.) United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
He was born Oct. 30, 1936, in Fulton Co., Ky., son of the late Clementine and Virginia (Davis) Atwill. He was retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. of Union City and was a member of the United Steel Workers Goodyear Local 878, the Goodyear Wingfoot Retiree Club and the Romeo Club. He was an avid hunter and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bennette (McClure) Atwill, whom he married March 18, 1960; four daughters, Barbara Atwill, Bridget Atwill and Belinda Atwill, all of Cayce, and Bonita (Atwill) Dillon of Crutchfield, Ky.; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Caitlin (Atwill) and Demetrius Bracey of Warner Robins, Ga., Chelsea (Atwill) and Nathan Anderson of Union City, Andria Brockwell and Blayne Brockwell both of Cayce, Sandee (Atwill) and Jackie Lee Feezor of Clinton, Ky., and Levi Dillon and Autumn Dillon, both of Crutchfield; three great-grandchildren, Alyvia Bracey of Warner Robins and Hunter Feezor and Winter Feezor, both of Clinton; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane (Atwill) and Tommie Jones of Cayce and Sara Ann (Atwill) and James Counts of Wingo, Ky.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Killebrew McGee and Betty Brasfield; two brothers, Robert Clem Atwill and Harvey Winston Atwill; and his great-granddaughter, Alexis Lashae Bracey.
