5K run at OCCHS
aids March of Dimes

The second annual Run To Remember 5K is scheduled for May 18 and will begin at Obion County Central High School.
All proceeds benefit the March of Dimes, which supports healthy babies and pregnancies.
Registration starts at 8 a.m., and the run starts at 9. There will be a balloon release at 8:45 for parents who have lost a baby.
Entry fee is $25 and includes a T-shirt. There will be first place medals in each division as well as door prizes. Strollers are welcome, and there will be a prize for the best decorated stroller. For more information, call Natalie Huebner at 446 6347.

‘Pop’ winning team
posts 7-under score

Poplar Meadows Country Club held its weekly scramble Wednesday with the winning team shooting 7-under par.
The team included Matt Russell, Robert Huffstutter, Bruce Culver, Blake Caudle and Jason Mayfield.
Finishing in second at 6-under par was the team of Raymond Hendrix, Ken Courtwright, Tommy Lemons and Don Lyerly.
Poplar Meadows Country Club holds its weekly scramble every Wednesday. The cost to participate is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Participants are requested to register for weekly play by 2 p.m. each Wednesday.

Three youth rodeos
making Martin stop

The Tennessee Junior Rodeo Association will present three rodeos this weekend at Ned Ray McWherter Agricultural Complex on the campus of UT Martin.
Rodeo action begins Saturday morning at 10 with another rodeo at 6:30 p.m.
TJRA will offer Cowboy Church at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, followed by the final rodeo of the year at 10 a.m.
Year-end awards will be handed out immediately following.
