The moving of one heart often changes things around us. That is exactly what happened recently at Greenbrier Meadows.
A resident was reading the April/May edition of the Hometown Magazine and was very touched by the story of Kathalina Moore of Obion County, better known as Lina.
The magazine shared the story of Lina’s battle with kidney disease and her need for transplant surgery.
The resident was so touched that she immediately came to the administrator of Greenbrier and said, “I have to do something to help this young lady.”
Community partners quickly came on board without hesitation. It took only moments to start the wheel turning to enhance a Circus Day previously planned for the residents of Greenbrier into a fund raising event to help this young lady move forward in her future.
The genuine caring of a senior adult has managed to bring others together for the purpose of helping this young lady.
Amedysis Home Health Services, Asericare Hospice, Health South/Cane Creek Rehabilitation Hospital, Extendicare Home Health and Greenbrier Meadows Assisted Living will be joining to sponsor the event.
