Dyersburg State Community College will hold its 43rd annual commencement exercises Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dyer County High School in Newbern.
The college expects this to be the largest class in its history and anticipates degrees and/or certificates to be bestowed upon 417 candidates.
Randal D. Boyd will deliver the commencement address. He is the chairman, CEO and majority shareholder for Radio Systems Corporation (RSC).
Boyd is currently on the board of directors of EDP BioTech, a bio-science company doing cancer and DNA research, and of Clayton Bank Corp. He also serves as chairman of tnAchieves, a mentor-assisted scholarship program that covers the tuition for first generation community college students across Tennessee.
A reception to honor graduates and their guests will be held immediately following Saturday’s commencement.
