A threatening remark on a school wall at Fulton High School was investigated Monday by Fulton police and state police.
The incident was reported to authorities after Fulton High School principal Donna Garland was alerted to a threatening remark written on the school wall. She immediately notified the school superintendent and law enforcement officials.
Police responded to the high school and did a walk-through, but they found no evidence of danger. The Fulton Police Department contacted the Kentucky State Police, whose officers arrived on campus with a K-9 unit.
School officials and police said the school was deemed safe and regular classroom instruction continued. School officials said they were pleased with the quick response of all agencies and the school staff.
“School safety is of utmost importance, and school staff and officials will continually monitor any suspicious activity to ensure the safety of all students,” a school spokesman said.
