Miss Hardin to wed Carolin on May 26

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Lana Gale Hardin of Dyersburg and Patrick James Carolin III of Newbern are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Roy and Melba Hardin of Union City. Her grandparents are the late Leonard Elmer and Ermor Hardin of Obion and the late Vesteen and Juanita Taylor of Essex, Mo.
She is a 1989 graduate of Union City High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1993. While at UTM, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, Criminal Justice Society and Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. She is employed as a parole hearings officer for the Tennessee Board of Parole.
The groom-elect is the son of Mary Ann Carolin of Ann Arbor, Mich., and the late Patrick James “Jim” Carolin Jr. His grandparents are the late Patrick James and Alice Carolin of Birmingham, Mich., and the late Thomas and Margaret DeCorte of Detroit.
He is a 1982 graduate of University of Detroit Jesuit High School in Detroit. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communication arts from Spring Hill Jesuit College in Mobile, Ala., in 1987. While in college, he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau. He is employed as vice president of sales and marketing for Colonial DPP.
The couple will wed at 4:30 p.m. May 26 at Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, Ark.
A reception and dinner will follow at 6 in the conservatory of the 1886 Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs.
