CLARKSVILLE (AP) — Police in Clarksville have arrested four suspects, including a state prosecutor’s adult son, in a home invasion robbery.
The Leaf-Chronicle (http://leafne.ws/15e65y7) reported John Wesley Carney III was booked into the Montgomery County Jail early today, charged with robbery and kidnapping. He is the son of 19th Judicial District Attorney General John Wesley Carney Jr.
The 27-year-old Carney is the final of four men arrested in a Thursday afternoon robbery that temporarily caused the lockdown of an elementary school.
Clarksville police said in a news release four men forced their way into the victim’s apartment, bound him with duct tape and threatened him with a knife over money and weapons. Police said the victim complied out of fear for himself and his children, ages 4 and 2.
