PROFESSIONALS HONORED — The Martin Chapter, Tennessee Division, International Association of Administrative Professionals, recently sponsored an Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon in the university’s Duncan Ballroom. Administrative Professionals Week is one of the largest workplace observances and is celebrated worldwide. The program featured Daryl and Dr. Jim Byford (center). Ms. Byford is a registered dietician and presented a program about the importance of eating a balanced diet. Mr. Byford is dean emeritus, UT Martin College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, and performed several songs. Dr. Neil Graves (not pictured), professor of English, played the piano and provided special music before the program began. Joining the Byfords at the conclusion of the program were (from left) Rebecca Baker, UT Martin Physical Plant Administration and IAAP secretary; Sam Ray, UT Martin Department of Communications and IAAP member; Lexie Copeland, Department of Engineering and IAAP member; Connie Cochran, UT Martin Department of Agriculture, Geosciences, and Natural Resources; Susan Lemond, UT Martin Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Political Science and IAAP treasurer; Marcia Tuck, UT Martin retiree and IAAP president; Debbie Hunter, UT Martin College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences; and Rose Johnson, IAAP member, Knapp Financial Services.
