Kennedy “Elroy” Gearin

Kennedy “Elroy” Gearin, 76, left this world on April 24, 2013.

The family has chosen cremation. A memorial and celebration of his life was held at 4 P.M. on April 28, 2013, at Chase Funeral Home in Huntingdon with Bro. Tony Terrell officiating.

Gearin was born in Weakley County but resided in Lexington since 2007.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Helen Pratt Gearin of Lexington; their daughter, Cynthia (Bryan) Miller, and granddaughter, Rachel Miller, of Parsons; three sisters, Imogene (Leon) Pentecost and Lorene (Gordon) Jones, both of Greenfield and Bonnie (Steve) Treadway of Whitehouse; two children from a previous marriage Michael (Janice) Gearin of Pensacola, Fla. and a daughter, Sandra Burnett and grandson, Blake of Bradford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert “Bob” and Jewel Miles Gearin; three brothers, Thomas (Polly) Gearin, Robert “Bud” Gearin and Ferrell Gearin.
