Gov. Beshear appoints Fulton man to board

Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed a Fulton County, Ky., man to an advisory board for water transportation.
Greg Curlin of Fulton, executive director of the Hickman-Fulton County Riverport Authority, was appointed to the Water Transportation Advisory Board.
He represents the commonwealth’s public riverports, according to Beshear’s office.
The appointment replaces Thomas E. Riney, whose term has expired. Curlin will serve for a term which expires Sept. 30, 2016.
Other board and commission appointments Beshear made from the western Kentucky area include John D. Tidwell of Mayfield, Ky., a real estate appraiser at Waldrop & Associates, who was reappointed to the Consumers’ Advisory Council; William H. Mulligan Jr. of Murray, Ky., a professor at Murray (Ky.) State University, who was reappointed to the Kentucky Historic Preservation Review Board to represent professionally recognized historians; and Donald S. Elias of Murray, an engineering project coordinator and inspector at Bacon, Farmer, Workman Engineers, who was appointed to the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority (replacing James O. Butts, whose term has expired).
