F/F Day planned
Bells Chapel CME Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton will host Family and Friends Day Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Kimberly Traylor of Thomas Chapel CME Church in Hickman, Ky., will be the guest speaker.
The Rev. Claudette Snorton and the congregation invite the community to attend.

Decoration Day set
Mt. Olive Baptist Church, located at 4509 Crystal Road near Union City, and the Mt. Olive Cemetery Association will host the annual Decoration Day  Sunday. Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m., with morning worship at 11. There will be a potluck meal following the service. Barbecue and fried chicken will be provided. 
The cemetery association business meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. All friends, neighbors and relatives who have loved ones buried in the Mt. Olive Cemetery are urged to attend this meeting to discuss the financial status and maintenance of the cemetery.

Church to host
fundraiser
Manna Ministries will host a fundraising yard sale indoors at the site of the former Joe’s Steakhouse at 3762 Ken-Tenn Highway Saturday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Funds raised will be used to complete the church’s building addition, which is needed to accommodate the new growth the congregation is experiencing.
Items for sale include household and baby items, furniture, pews, electrical items, a propane cook stove, good clothing and more.
The congregation will also be selling delicious homemade chicken and dumplings or chicken and dressing with two vegetables and dessert for $7. Food will be available from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

The congregation will welcome evangelist and prophetic minister Mark White Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
“He will follow up with a delicious meal of ‘manna’ from the Word of the Living God, which will be served with the wine of the Spirit. Come hungry, bring your cup and God will fill it,” a spokesman said.

Crowell to preach
The Rev. Billy Crowell will be the evangelist for revival services May 16-18 at 6 each evening at Bethel Baptist Church on Bethel Road off the Troy-Hornbeak Road.
The Rev. Marvin Wilson and the congregation invite the community to attend.

To observe
Decoration Day
Mt. Manuel Cemetery Association will hold the annual meeting Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Manuel United Methodist Church, located on Highway 22 West near Union City.
Anyone interested in the upkeep of the cemetery is urged to attend, a spokesman said.

Jackson will speak
Elder Dalton Jackson of Fountain of Life Ministries Church of God in Christ in Halls will be at All Nation Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ  at 417 Harrison St. in Union City at 7 p.m. Wednesday through May 10.
The Rev. W.L. Burnett and the congregation invite the public to attend.

Special event slated
Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, located at 1304 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Union City, will celebrate Family and Friends Day Sunday at 3 p.m.
Elder Paul Jenkins, pastor of Miles Chapel in Martin, will be the guest speaker and his congregation will be special guests.
The community is invited to attend.

To mark Decoration Day
Obion Chapel United Methodist Church will mark Decoration Day Sunday. Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m., followed by morning worship at 11 and a potluck meal at noon.
To contribute to the cemetery upkeep, send donations to Brenda Baker at 1077 Board Road, Obion, TN 38240.

To honor pastor
New Beginnings Church, located at 2221 Oakshire Road near Union City, will honor the pastor, the Rev. Angie Hensley Simbeck, Sunday at 3 p.m.
“Has she ever touched your life in a special way? Then come on out and join us this Sunday,” a spokesman said.

Yard/bake sale set
Troy United Methodist Church will host a yard/bake sale Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon on the square in downtown Troy.
Items available will include clothing in all sizes, a TV, baby items, shoes, furniture and lots of knick-knacks.
Funds raised will go to benefit Reelfoot Rural Ministries programs.
The Rev. Judd Mowery and the congregation invite the community to support this effort.

Information needed
The Beulah Cemetery Association needs information about those buried at the cemetery on Mt. Zion Road near Union City and also needs to know ownership of plots that have unmarked graves on them.
