WestStar scholarship available

The Messenger 05.01.13 The deadline is approaching for application for the Nick Dunagan Leadership Scholarship. Dr. Dunagan established a scholarship to be awarded to a dependent of a WestStar alumnus whose student is enrolled at UT Martin. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a student who has proven leadership skills and/or displays leadership potential. The amount is $1,200 annually ($600 each semester). According to the scholarship criteria, a sophomore is preferred, but a junior or senior may apply. Freshmen are not eligible. Preference is given to those students who have displayed a high level of academic achievement and who have a proven record of community/university involvement. Eligible students must have a 2.75 GPA after their freshman year and a minimum of 3.00 GPA as a junior/senior. The WestStar Board of Trustees will select the recipient.
