State Farm welcomes Taylor to Martin
State Farm is pleased to welcome new agent Scott Taylor to its family of agents in Martin.
The Scott Taylor State Farm Agency, located at 405 S. Lindell St., is set to officially open its doors Wednesday. The office is in downtown Martin in the building previously occupied by former State Farm agent Pattie Glass.
Prior to becoming a State Farm agent, Taylor worked for SFI in Memphis for three years as program manager for the military division and at ARJ Manufacturing in Jackson for seven years as assistant general manager over sales, purchasing, program management, production control, information technology and engineering.
“State Farm is truly committed to doing what is right for their clients every day,” Taylor said. “I have always wanted to own my own business and State Farm offered a way for me to really do what I enjoy, which is building relationships. I became an agent to help people prepare for the unexpected, protect what is most important to them and plan for their future.”
Taylor office includes three state members: Chad Taylor, Trey Bowen and Kim Damron. All three are well prepared to help customers with their insurance and financial service needs, Taylor said.
Taylor and his family plan to be active in the community. The family includes wife Whitney Cates Taylor and two girls, Alex, 10, and Mari Frances, 4. Scott and Whitney Taylor graduated from South Fulton High School and Westview High School, respectively, and both are graduates of the University of Tennessee at Martin. The family said they are excited about moving back home.
