Completed arrangements are being announced for Paul Edward Kimble Sr., 76, of Mason Hall, who passed away in his home surrounded by his family April 23, 2013, due to complications of end stage renal disease.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. Mickey Hanks will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
The family requests that anyone wishing to send condolences should make a donation to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Anchor Road, Houston, MS 38851.
He was born March 23, 1937, in Houston, Miss., son of the late John Henry and Altie (Austin) Kimble. He came to Union City in 1969, where he was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and remained there until he retired. He was a member of Goodyear retirees’ “Romeo Club.” A hunting, automobile and handgun enthusiast, he was a long-standing member of the National Rifle Association and the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
He is survived by wife of 54 years, Linda (Farr) Kimble; his daughter and son-in-law, Terri (Kimble) and Greg Conover of Memphis; his son, Tony Kimble of Mason Hall; his granddaughter and her husband, Kristin (Kimble) and Shane Adams of Mason Hall; his great-grandson, Deacon Adams of Mason Hall; three brothers, Wayne Kimble of Union City, Robert Kimble of Waukegan, Ill., and John A. Kimble of Lawrence, Mass.; his brother-in-law, whom he considered a brother, John R. Woodruff of Houston, Miss.; and two sisters, Linda (Kimble) Germano of Carlsbad, Calif., and Elaine (Kimble) Keelen of Lexington, Ky.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Edward “Eddie” Kimble Jr.; and three sisters, Jaynell (Kimble) Woodruff, Mirtice (Kimble) Headrick and Frances (Kimble) Ramsey.
