Nell Brown Roberts, 96, of Memphis, formerly of Troy, died April 24, 2013, at Quince Nursing Home in Memphis.
Services will be noon Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Dr. Vann Kissell will officiate and burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
The family requests that memorials be made to Troy First Baptist Church.
She was born May 4, 1916, in Obion County, daughter of the late Alex and Sally (Pryor) Cook. She was a longtime floral designer in Obion County and was a member of Troy First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son, Fred Roberts of Memphis; her sister, Elizabeth Bobo of Union City; two grandchildren and the spouse of one, Missy and Tom Ragan and Fred Roberts Jr., all of Memphis; and two great-grandchilden and the spouse of one, Carter Ragan of Memphis and Colton and Kaylee Ragan of Starkville, Miss.
She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Sammye Cook, Frances Thornton, Maude McCowan, Margaret Ray and Jane Crittendon.
