Canning course planned at UTM

A course on canning food will be offered 6-8 p.m. Thursdays starting this week and continuing through May 9 on the main campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Students will be taught to can vegetables using various types of pressure canners in a hands-on learning environment with instructors Tammy Rorie and Donna Ewer.
The registration fee for the course is $75, and a $10 supply fee will be paid to the instructor at the first class meeting. Students ages 12-16 are free with a paying adult.
The course is sponsored by the UT Martin Office of Extended Campus and Online Studies.
