Historic hat trick
lifts Twisters to win

Cace Cook became the first player in the brief history of Union City High School soccer to record a hat trick Monday in the Tornadoes’ 3-0 victory at Gibson County.
Cook accounted for all three UC goals in the second half as the Twisters won for the second time in their inaugural history.
Austin Jefferson and Alex Vasquez had assists on Cook’s second and third goals, respectively.
Both of UC’s wins have come via shutout.
The Tornadoes are in action today at Crockett County.

OC blanks McKenzie
in battle of Rebels

Obion Central won for the ninth time in 10 outings with a 7-0 whitewash of McKenzie in high school soccer Monday.
OC outshot the host team 16-1 and got two goals and an assist from Elliot Tomlinson and a goal and three assists from Eric Torres.
Mario Ramirez, Jackson Smith, Alejandro Ramirez and Alex Terrell also found the net for Central, while Alberto Vasquez and Ian Miller recorded assists for the victors.
Alberto and Antonio Acevedo combined for the shutout in goal for OC.
Obion Central will celebrate Senior Night in its next outing April 30.

Parents meet set
for OC jayvee grid

The Obion County Junior High football program will have a parents meeting 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Obion County Central High School fieldhouse.
The meeting is for parents of players who will be in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the fall.
