Miss Fender, Pope to wed on May 11

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Amanda Nicole Fender and Ryan Joseph Pope are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Brian and Tracye Fender of Rutherford. She is granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney McMackin of Kenton, Mary Alice Fender of Rutherford and the late Thomas Sloan Fender. She is the great-granddaughter of Jeri Bailey of Dyer.
She is a 2010 graduate of Gibson County High School and is enrolled in the nursing program at Jackson State Community College, where she plans to graduate as a registered nurse.
The groom-elect is the son of Franklin and Dawn Pope of Yorkville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pope of Yorkville and Mr. and Mrs. Ulysses Harvey Jr. of Madison, Miss. He is the great-grandson of Margaret Dunagan of Eaton.
He is a 2005 graduate of Gibson County High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural business. He is employed by Jimmy Sanders Inc. of Newbern.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. May 11 at the home of Bob and Suzanne McCurdy, located at 81 State Route 185 in Dyer. Music will begin at 5.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Trenton.
In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at First United Methodist Church in Dyer.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
