Funeral services for Mrs. Stacie Leigh Townsend, 38 of Paris, will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Sulphur Wells Church of Christ in Paris, at 11am, with burial to follow on Stacie and John David ‘s Farm. Her visitation will be Monday, April 22, 2013 from 4 til 8 pm at Sulphur Wells Church of Christ in Paris, TN. Stacie is survived by her loving husband John David Townsend of Paris, TN , three sons: Jordan Vaughn, Cole Townsend and Adam Townsend; one daughter, Josie Townsend all of Paris, TN. She is also survived by two sisters; Teresa and Angela Moore both of Paris, TN, three brothers; Billy Moore of Wyoming, Jeff Archie of Paris, TN, and Gerald Moore of Springville, TN. She is the daughter of Bernard Moore Jr. of Springville, TN, and Terrie Rogers Haynes of Paris, TN. She is the granddaughter of Herbert & the late Lillian Rogers. Stacie, a loving and devoted mother and wife, passed to a better life on April 20, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She fought her battle with amazing faith, courage and grace. Stacie’s life was a mixture of love, caring and giving to her husband and children and to all whose life she touched. She was devoted to family and friends with an unsurpassed love for life, enthusiasm and optimism. She lived her life with unshakable faith, hope and humility that touched hearts and was an inspiration to all who crossed her path. She was truly a Christian example for all of us. The battle with cancer brings unforeseen financial challenges for the families who are faced with it. Stacie and her family were blessed with many acts of kindness and support from family and friends. For this, she and her family were very grateful. The family wishes to establish an avenue to help families faced with the battle for life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stacie’s honor and memory to a fund to be used to help families face the battle of cancer.
